Setec in Russia
History
In 1997 the Moscow Government requested Setec to make an expert appraisal of the Moscow City Master Plan and design transport and engineering infrastructure. It was a real milestone for Setec which worked out innovative engineering solutions for the project and thus started its operation on the Russian construction market.
Annual increase in the scope of activities and the number of orders encouraged Setec Group to open its representative office in Moscow in 2002, and the Russian branch of Setec Bâtiment in 2003. During the first years of its activity the Russian office formed a highly professional team of Russian and foreign experts working in Russia on a permanent basis and strengthened business contacts with Russian and foreign clients. Working on sophisticated and unique projects in Russia reinforced the company’s positions on the local market, and the Group’s Board of Directors decided to set up SETEC INGINIRING LLC (SETEC ING) which was to be founded by the French companies Setec Bâtiment and Setec Consultants, shareholders of SETEC Group.
The Group’s BOD delegated to SETEC ING LLC all powers and responsibilities related to the implementation of the projects in Russia.
Scope of Expertise
SETEC ING LLC provides a full range of services in the domain of construction during the entire project life cycle, from technical feasibility study to operational commissioning. - Management of the design process: determining the sequence of project tasks, planning and coordination of economic, legal, financial and technical tasks, management of deadlines and expenses, control of quality;
- Analysis and evaluation of the tender offers for the selection of the General Contractor, assistance in drafting contractor agreements.
- Checking and submitting for approval the Contractor’s design documentation as regards its compliance with the approved design solutions and the Client’s requirements.
