Type: plant for manufacturing of the electric train key components  

The new line for the production of the electric train key components was createdon the basis of the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant, building B52, in Rostov Region. OOOSETEC INGacted as General Designer and technical customer (tekhzakazchik) and assured on-site designer and technical supervision.

Description, Design Solutions and Challenges:

The main challenge of the project was the transformation of the existing two-section industrial building erected in 1970-esin compliance with the requirements of Alstom, the Customer, and the Russian regulations. Integration of the Client’s technologies in the modernised building and tight deadlines required to work out unconventional solutions. Thus the installation of 15-ton crane beams on the slabs involved the recalculation of the entire structural scheme of the building, which was done in Scadand Lira, and the use of the alleviated straining systems of the frame.
